ESL Teaching Position
--The University of Iowa ESL Instructor (Program Assistant) Full-time
position available August 2001. This position is designed as an entry-level
position for an individual who is a recent graduate of a TESL program. It is
a one-year appointment, renewable for one additional year. The position requires
teaching 15 hours per week and related duties.
Required: Degree in Linguistics/TESL or equivalent combination
of related education and experience; related program experience (maximum two
years full-time).
Desirable: M.A. in Linguistics/TESL; minimum six months related
teaching and program experience; experience teaching in an intensive English
program; native speaker fluency in English. Salary: (12-month appointment) commensurate
with education and experience.
